Resistance as a Compass
Go where you most resist
The Beginning
My intuition told me to move three steps to the right.
But I didn’t feel like moving. It was raining. I had my luggage. I resisted.
Still, the voice persisted: Move three steps to the right.
I ignored it—until a full water bottle came flying through the air and smacked me on the forehead.
Instant goose egg. Instant lesson.
This Time: Take Action
A few days later, I parked my truck on the big hill near my house. It was Tuesday. Street cleaning wasn’t until Friday. Perfectly fine, right?
But that little inner voice whispered again: Check your truck.
I brushed it off. Then it said, more insistently: Your truck needs you.
Reluctantly, I trudged up the hill.
And there it was—my neighbor, apparently the neighborhood hall monitor, had invoked the 72-hour parking rule. (There are words for people like that.)
But because I listened this time, I saved my truck from being towed.
I’m learning.
The Message
Have you ever felt your intuition nudge you—only to feel that wall of resistance rise up?
“No, no,” it says. “You’re fine. Don’t bother.”
But intuition doesn’t live in logic; it lives in truth. It has insight you can’t yet see—you can only trust.
The more you resist, the louder the lesson will be.
The Sign Post
I’ve learned (slowly!) that resistance is often a signal pointing me toward what’s most needed.

When I resist going to a networking event, I almost always end up meeting someone fascinating when I push through.
When I resist trying something new, it usually ends up expanding me in ways I couldn’t imagine.
Resistance is not a stop sign—it’s a signpost.
Stepping out of the Comfort Zone
Growth lives beyond comfort.
All the juiciness of life—the connection, the creativity, the synchronicity—exists on the other side of that inner “no.”
Your intuition is the Universe calling.
It knows your number. It’s trying to connect you with something beautiful—if only you’ll pick up the phone.
What if you are resisting what you most need?
So when resistance whispers, pause and smile.
That’s the direction of your next breakthrough.
Your Call To Action
This week, notice where resistance shows up—and instead of retreating, take one small step toward it. You might be surprised by the treasure waiting there.
Tarot Pull
Queen of Pentacles reversed
When I pulled a card for this week’s theme, I got the Queen of Pentacles reversed — the woman who knows how to nurture everyone except herself. She’s the part of me that resists listening to my own wisdom because I’m too busy or too stubborn to pause.
This week, she reminded me that resistance isn’t the enemy — it’s a sign that I’m being invited back into alignment. When I ignore that intuitive nudge, I’m out of balance; when I listen, I return to flow.
The Queen of Pentacles reversed asked me:
“What if the direction you are resisting, is the very thing that would nourish you most?”
That’s the invitation I leave with you.
